TIG Welder/Fabricator - Watertown, WI



PRODUCTION WELDER duties, and responsibilities:

  • Understands the process of welding and complete welds using TIG and MIG methods (Primarily TIG)

  • Sets up own machines and understands how to change welding tips and completes necessary machine maintenance

  • Read blueprints and schematics to ensure welds and parts are located properly

  • Identify parts shown in blueprints and ensure accuracy of projects

  • Welds together stainless-steel components of products and works on weldments for various projects

  • Ability to use measuring equipment (tape measure, calibers, protractors) to ensure that parts are made to specifications

  • Take questions to supervisor for clarification

  • Ensure each job is tracked appropriately

  • Maintain communication and documents problems and takes steps to resolve

  • Use measuring, hand, and power tools as necessary for the assembly of products

  • In addition to basic math skills, must be comfortable computing fractions and decimals

  • As needed, assist in other production roles throughout the shop including bead blasting, assembly, shipping, layout, metal finishing, etc.

Supplemental pay types:

  • Signing bonus - $1,200

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Watertown, WI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • TIG Welding: 1 year (Required)

Salary

$19-$27/hour
