TIG Welder/Fabricator - Watertown, WI

PRODUCTION WELDER duties, and responsibilities:
Understands the process of welding and complete welds using TIG and MIG methods (Primarily TIG)
Sets up own machines and understands how to change welding tips and completes necessary machine maintenance
Read blueprints and schematics to ensure welds and parts are located properly
Identify parts shown in blueprints and ensure accuracy of projects
Welds together stainless-steel components of products and works on weldments for various projects
Ability to use measuring equipment (tape measure, calibers, protractors) to ensure that parts are made to specifications
Take questions to supervisor for clarification
Ensure each job is tracked appropriately
Maintain communication and documents problems and takes steps to resolve
Use measuring, hand, and power tools as necessary for the assembly of products
In addition to basic math skills, must be comfortable computing fractions and decimals
As needed, assist in other production roles throughout the shop including bead blasting, assembly, shipping, layout, metal finishing, etc.
