Life Insurance Sales Manager - Madison, WI



Responsibilities Include:

  • Optimize agency sales efforts to ensure the success of this start-up venture.

  • Meet and exceed annual sales targets, goals and initiatives.

  • Proactively manage a team of three agents.

  • Continually coach and train agents to ensure their success; assist with agency and agent training development and implementation.

  • Develop synergy within the new inside sales team through building a positive culture that encourages fun, teamwork and a strong work ethic.

  • Grow our membership by developing excellent sales and customer service techniques.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the agency, including scheduling, administering lead distribution, and handling difficult phone calls.

  • Work closely with marketing and sales support teams to leverage internal capabilities and provide feedback to enhance lead generation programs.

  • Serve as the primary go-to resource and problem solver within the agency for questions regarding product information, underwriting and processes.

  • Monitor the performance of agents and hold them accountable for meeting benchmarks and reaching individual goals.

  • Work with the Underwriting Department and the Case Manager to optimize placement ratios.

  • Maximize core KPI’s including leads, conversions and premiums.

  • Produce and analyze progress reports.


Position Requirements:

  • You must be licensed in Life Insurance.

  • Previous experience as an Insurance Agent or Agency Manager.

  • Proven history of meeting and exceeding expected sales targets.

  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written), organization and negotiating skills.

  • Passion for coaching, mentoring and building a dynamic and robust sales team.

  • Exhibits a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Additional professional certifications a plus.


Compensation:

The Inside Sales Manager will be compensated with a base salary of $50,000 MINIMUM annually. Additional compensation includes bonuses, which are based upon the performance of the Inside Sales Agency.
