International/Domestics Supply Chain Specialist - Remote Position


Responsible to effectively maintain optimum inventory levels in a multi warehouse environment by monitoring on-hand balances, analyzing sales and marketing data and coordinating appropriate purchase order releases with international and Domestic suppliers.

Essential Functions

  • Sourcing new products, work with engineers to find suppliers for new products or new projects.

  • Participate in supplier selection and negotiations process. Establish and maintain contractual obligations between suppliers and our company.

  • Develop business relationships with suppliers and adjust sourcing strategies based on supplier performance and business unit input.

  • Perform procurement functions including price analysis, request for quotations, and negotiations for a variety of products.

  • Review item inventories, determining requirements

  • Generate and maintain purchase order records, including managing delivery dates.

  • Work with marketing, accounting, and warehousing departments.

  • Marketing functions include color, logo, and packaging recommendations.

  • Request payments from accounting.

  • Communicate with warehousing for item receiving in Acumatica.

  • Coordinate with the Chinese office to effectively track purchase orders and shipments in order to reduce shipping cost. work with the Chinese office to consolidate sample orders and express orders to US offices monthly. Communicate with China office to consolidate small ocean freight orders to US office or 3PL company.

  • Proactively react to production problems to ensure on time delivery of quality merchandise by communicating between suppliers and our engineers on a daily basis.

  • Contact suppliers with quality issues by translating quality issues between supplier engineers and our engineers. Negotiate resolutions to quality issues between Suppliers and our engineers.

  • Attend supplier meetings. Translate throughout meetings as needed and follow up with unsolved problems from supplier meetings.

  • Help plan engineer travel by contacting companies we intend to visit. Responsibilities include arranging transportation, hotels, and providing translation for the trip.

  • Help arrange supplier visits to our by providing invitation letters, finding flights or other transportation, and providing translation when needed.


  • Good negotiation skill. Negotiate price, mode of shipping, and lead time.

  • Capacity planning. The ability to determine the production capacity required by a supplier or a company plant to meet forecasted customer demand.

  • Inventory Management & Optimization. The ability to ensure product availability through inventory administration activities such as demand planning, stock optimization, and monitoring the age of the product.

  • Consistently modelling honorable behavior and best practice.

  • Serving the best interests of the organization without being self-serving.

  • Speak Mandarin is a huge plus!

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or 4+ years’ work experience in procurement

  • 4+ years’ procurement and purchasing experience using purchase order-based ERP systems

  • Fluent in Chinese is a plus
