Installation and Service Manager - Madison, WI

General Responsibilities

  • Supervise personnel, which in conjunction with upper management generally includes hiring, termination, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution

  • Coach/counsel staff on a regular basis

  • Liaison between sales, installation and service

  • Handle office equipment issues as needed

  • Provide and receive regular manager feedback

  • Oversee training and development of technical and admin personnel

  • Oversee implementation of all company policies and procedures

  • Other responsibilities as directed by upper management

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monthly installation budget number

  • Jointly responsible with Sales and Accounting for timely invoicing of all projects

  • Responsible for jobs being installed correctly, on time, and to budget

  • Review project scope and allotted hours with installers (throughout project); order inventory and supplies to maximize value.

  • Schedule installations

  • Maintain contact with customers and subcontractors as appropriate

  • Will Interview Prospective Sub-Contractors and submit them to a vetting process.

Departments Management

  • Conduct regular staff meetings as needed

  • Approve installation function hours, overtime, vacation and sick time

  • Approve service function hours, overtime, vacation and sick time

  • Schedule service and installation technicians for maximum effectiveness

  • Oversee physical inventory count as required

  • Review service tickets routinely, prepare and submit to accounting no less than weekly

  • Oversee on-call schedule

  • Address/Resolve any equipment/tools/supplies needs that arise

Customer Service

  • Make sure customer expectations are met and possibly exceeded

  • Provide technical assistance to customers, technicians, installers, and sales reps as needed

  • Resolve customer conflicts quickly, involving upper management if needed

  • Assist with monitoring center tasks and correspondence as needed


Normal office hours are Monday thru Friday 8am to 4:30pmAnnual salary TBD Based on Experience

Annual bonus criteria and potential dollar range to be determined annually
