Director of Solution Delivery - Remote Position
We are looking for a strong leader in the Critical Power industry to manage a dedicated team who support the solutioning and project delivery process across the country. You will be responsible for large-scale projects dealing with UPS, Batteries, Battery Monitoring, STS, PDU, and Generators. Must have 10+ years of Project Management experience in the Critical Power industry, 5+ years of leadership experience directly managing a team, and strong interpersonal skills. PMP certification is a big plus!
The position will be responsible for the solutioning and operational successes for all assigned customers across North America working closely with Sales and Field Operations Teams. The Director, Solution Delivery will manage a dedicated team who support the solutioning & project delivery process on mission critical power replacement and retrofit projects to include UPS, Batteries, Battery Monitoring, STS, PDU, and Generators. Occasional travel will be required to assist in proper scoping or on-site presence during project execution, as well as maintain and strengthen Customer Relationships. Prior management experience supporting large-scale projects is required, as is supporting the company as a subject matter expert on various system applications and emerging technologies.

As the Solution Delivery Director for Quality Uptime your main responsibilities include:
SOLUTIONING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for solutioning and project management of large-scale projects including:
UPS refresh/replacement and new installs.
Battery replacement/retrofit projects.
Battery monitoring installations.
STS, PDU & Generator projects.
Other project applications / opportunities to support client needs.
Demonstrate an outstanding ability to maintain and build upon existing customer relationships.
Maintain, promote, and develop the company’s supplier and service delivery partner relationships.
Autonomous ability to manage supplier and customer challenges amicably, achieve resolution while protecting job profitability.
Proposal generation support; create accurate solutions for defined opportunities from sales organization.
Utilize internal tools to research job requirements, obtain costing from external resources, contact customer to verify details, and finalize solutions to be incorporated into proposals.
Review, prepare and respond to large-scale project RFPs from Key Customers, with assistance from direct reports and the broader sales organization as required.
Apply experience and expertise with electrical infrastructure applications to assist in solutioning products and services for the customer need as well as provide technical support internally & externally.
Develop project schedules; outline project dependencies, deliverables, trade-specific work schedules.
Develop Scope of Work summaries which support the progress tracking with client POCs.
Track all project details in CRM and CMMS tools to support internal and external resource scheduling, change order tracking, and invoicing progress.
Keep accurate & updated project logs to support business continuity.
Assist with the refinement of vendor and partner relationships to improve competitive advantages.
Ad hoc duties assigned by leadership.
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a team of individuals who support multiple accounts for non turnkey large-scale projects.
Maintain a supportive work environment, drive professional development, team cohesion.
Provide technical guidance to the team and the greater company in areas of expertise.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
P&L ownership of the division to include presentation of results to the Executive Team on a regular basis.
Track attainment of division goals and KPIs in the areas of profitability, budget, bandwidth, and scalability.
Proficient at building divisional operating budgets, job cost accounting.
SALES RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review maintenance reports, to assist account managers in the detection of needed replacements or retrofits based on PM findings.
Perform routine customer follow up with the sales account teams on open project proposals and general communication touch points to maintain account relationships.
Attend company meetings, trade shows, and customer meetings to represent the company & build relationships at the proper levels for growth.
Qualifications:
10+ years proven Project Management experience supporting critical power system projects.
5+ years demonstrated success in a leadership capacity, directly supervising a team of project management professionals.
Exceptional professional writing skills including drafting scopes of work, method of procedure documents, HRAs, JSAs, Project plans/schedules.
Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding organizational and follow-up capabilities, proficient analytical skills.
Excellent presentations skills: ability to create, lead and convey the desired messaging to an audience both remotely and in person.
Experience with CRM such as Salesforce.com, MS Excel, Outlook, MS Word, MS Teams.
PMP certification is preferred.
Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize work responsibilities and manage timely information requests from all stakeholders internal and external.
