Construction Coordinator – Madison, WI

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs ticket processing duties through Digger's Hotline for locating facilities to ensure safe excavation.

  • Answers incoming phone calls from utility companies and company Foremen.

  • Manages scheduling crews and coordinating with drilling division; communicating crew list to customers.

  • Responds to inquiries regarding excavation accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Contacts utility customers to inform them of upcoming work on their properties via a telephone call or email message.

  • Communicates with supervisors and crew members to coordinate work schedules with upcoming projects.

  • Reconciles billing by understanding units/descriptions of work.

  • Maintains the database for completed work orders and restorations.

  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center or similar environment preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel required.

  • Ability to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, 10-key calculator, phone, and similar machines.

  • Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals, blueprints, and maps.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or in a team-oriented environment.

  • Must be able to sit and talk on the phone for long periods of time.

SALARY

$20-$23 an hour
