ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs ticket processing duties through Digger's Hotline for locating facilities to ensure safe excavation.
Answers incoming phone calls from utility companies and company Foremen.
Manages scheduling crews and coordinating with drilling division; communicating crew list to customers.
Responds to inquiries regarding excavation accurately and in a timely manner.
Contacts utility customers to inform them of upcoming work on their properties via a telephone call or email message.
Communicates with supervisors and crew members to coordinate work schedules with upcoming projects.
Reconciles billing by understanding units/descriptions of work.
Maintains the database for completed work orders and restorations.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center or similar environment preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel required.
Ability to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, 10-key calculator, phone, and similar machines.
Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals, blueprints, and maps.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or in a team-oriented environment.
Must be able to sit and talk on the phone for long periods of time.
$20-$23 an hour
