CNC Machinist Setup/Operator - Madison, WI

Job Summary: Company is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated CNC Machinist Setup/Operator to join company’s Machine Shop. The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of previous operating experience. This is an opportunity for on-the-job training, and advancing skills with a well-established group of CNC Operators/Programmers.  If you are interested in gaining exposure to a modern Protoshop and enhancing your machining skills we’d like to hear from you!

Job Duties

· Work safely and ensure hazardous conditions are eliminated. Follow company safety procedures

· Follow all company policies as outlined in the handbook and other company documents

· Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for the machining operation

· Loading and/or assembling materials for CNC Machinists as needed

· Ability to set-up and run jobs including first time runs within quality

· First article inspection and inspection of parts during production to maintain quality throughout the production run

· Ensure the highest quality standards are met with all work done

· Ensure output meets required deadlines while executing above

· Ensure all tools required to complete job are supplied

· Work independently and multi-task

· Perform routine and preventative maintenance and upkeep of machining department equipment and tooling

· Maintain neat and clean work area

Skills Required

· Ability to learn setup and operate machinery independently with minimal supervision

· Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment with deadline pressures

· Time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines

· Basic computer and writing skills

· Must have ability to visually inspect parts to company standards

· Ability to work independently and multi-task

· Experience with Haas Horizontal Lathe a plus

· CMM experience a plus

· CAM software experience a plus
