The AV Estimator is in place to help grow our AV presence with both our existing customers and new opportunities. They will be responsible for joining on sales calls to understand the client’s needs and expectations in order to design projects from start to finish. This includes: the ability to create system drawings, completing material lists, producing proposals, and thorough instruction through install.
Skills and Specifications:
Ability and willingness to learn BlueBeam and/or CAD.
Capability of building/ maintaining relationships with key manufacturing and distribution reps.
Be able to create and lead a Kramer Control systems product install from start to finish.
Accompany salesmen on calls/customer visits where A/V work is needed.
Continually learn to meet the market demands as technology changes.
Attend annual infoComm tradeshow in Vegas.
List out what vendors/products you will want us to get signed up with as dealers.
Brainstorm your resources, contacts, avenues to network with and bring in business.
Establish short- and long-term goals. Use SMART goals.
Check in on our projects that may have new questions post install.
Look at our customers and their existing systems to see opportunity to integrate, sell more, etc.
Offer to take on special projects.
Create a check list for the sales team to use on customer meetings to get you the information you need to design a system in cases you don’t need to be present on the call.
Start working on training avenues for the technicians.
Work on training modules for our customers on the systems you design.
Should be feeling comfortable with the overall culture and processes of organization.
Overall compensation varies based on experience level. Starting salary will be based on experience, qualifications, track record and other relevant criteria.
